Volunteer work has become increasingly popular among college students in recent years. In my view, participating in volunteer activities is not only beneficial to society but also valuable for students' personal growth. First, volunteer work provides students with opportunities to apply their knowledge in real-world settings. Whether tutoring children in rural areas or organizing community events, students can gain hands-on experience that cannot be acquired in classrooms. Second, volunteering helps students develop important social skills. Through working with people from diverse backgrounds, students learn communication, teamwork, and leadership. Moreover, volunteer work fosters a sense of social responsibility. When students see the challenges faced by disadvantaged groups, they become more aware of social issues and more committed to making a positive difference.
